about the press
Aster Press is a magazine for the considered life.
Aster Press began as a stack of photographs pinned to a studio wall — rose blooms, linen hung out to dry, a table set for lunch that nobody was in a hurry to reach. It became a magazine with a simple conviction: that the ordinary rituals of home and table, travel and making, are worthy of the same care we give to anything we love.
We publish four times a year, in print and here online, with sections on Interiors, Food & Drink, Travel and Culture. Every story is reported slowly, photographed in real light, and edited for the reader who would rather be present than busy. There are no shopping lists here — only things worth slowing down for.
01 — Slow
We take our time, and it shows. Stories are given the weeks they need, not the hours the calendar insists on.
02 — Real
Real rooms, real tables, real light. We photograph the world as it is, not as a moodboard wishes it were.
03 — Handmade
We champion makers — potters, weavers, bakers, booksellers — the quiet crafts that keep the world well made.
04 — Weekly
Every Friday, a letter from the studio: one story, one recipe, one place to wander. No noise, ever.
